Command Instrument Rating

A basic Private or Commercial License will only allow you to fly in fair weather, clear of cloud and  by  day. The Command Instrument Rating allows you to fly in most weather conditions and is  therefore a pre-requisite for entry into most charter operations and airlines. Instrument training is  very demanding and requires a high level of skill and professionalism.

The flight training is usually completed in the twin engine Piper Seneca with further training  undertaken using our AG-6 flight simulator. The simulator is also available to meet the recent  experience requirements to keep your instrument rating current. Following are the requirements in respect to training towards a Multi-Engine Command Instrument Rating. Training is conducted to meet all requirements as set out in the appropriate CAR's and CAO's for this rating.
